## AI engineering

The author builds AI features for production, from model integration to operations. The flagship example is Seliee (https://www.seliee.si/): an AI Office of agents whose publishing, sending and spending wait for human approval, an MCP server with more than 230 tools, bring-your-own-key AI across OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and self-hosted Llama, and grounded assistants.

- LLM and model integration: model choice by quality, latency and cost; hosted APIs or self-hosted llama.cpp; fallback paths; cost control per feature.
- RAG architecture: ingestion, chunking, retrieval, reranking, answers that cite sources, and knowledge kept current.
- Agentic AI: tool calling, orchestration, state outside the model, permissions per tool and human approval for irreversible actions.
- Evaluation and quality: test sets from real questions, offline and online evaluation, regression tests and agreed success criteria.
